Lauren Whitt, PhD. developed and implemented the health and wellness program for a large utility company in the Southeast. Whitt develops strategies and coordinates disease management, early detection, and preventative care initiatives across multiple locations for more than 10,000 lives. She founded Legacy Wellness Consulting, LLC. to steer other companies striving to establish corporate wellness programs towards success.
Whitt has worked extensively in intercollegiate athletics including stints in the following areas:
- Marketing & media relations
- Academic advising & career counseling
- Coaching & sports performance consulting
Her competitive athletic background and broad educational training provide Whitt with the experience to successfully facilitate experiential team building, interpersonal communication and leadership development programs.
As a Division I student-athlete…Lauren Whitt, PhD was a sixth-year senior soccer transfer from Vanderbilt University to Clemson University…enrolled at Clemson as a doctoral candidate focusing on resiliency skills in elite athletes…in 2006, she graduated from Clemson with her Doctorate of Philosophy…as a goalkeeper Whitt started every game in the 2003 season for the top 20 nationally ranked Clemson women’s soccer program and earned All-ACC second-team honors…Whitt played for five seasons with the Commodores…graduated from Vanderbilt with a Bachelor’s Degree in Human and Organizational Development with an emphasis on Leadership Effectiveness in May 2002…in the summer of 2003, she received a Master’s of Education from Vanderbilt with a focus in Human Development Counseling… Whitt was sidelined for the fall 1999 and 2000 seasons with a torn ACL and earning medical red shirts for both seasons.
Whitt was a member of the U-21 U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team in 1999…Pan American Gold Medal Winner in 1999…awarded the most valuable goalkeeper at the Adidas Cup International tournament in 1999…throughout Whitt’s career she has competed internationally in Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Holland, and Italy.
